We were recently notified that the City has been awarded the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA’s) Triple Crown which recognizes governments who have received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award, and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. There are approximately 290 GFOA Triple Crown Award winners in the United States and Canada for FY 2019 and only 23 government entities in Texas were recognized with the award this year. This is the first year the City of New Braunfels has earned the Triple Crown Award. I’m extremely proud of the Finance Department team for this major accomplishment.
