Bring your unwanted documents to be securely shredded in an environmentally-friendly manner! The City of New Braunfels, in partnership with Gruene Shredding, invites residents to participate in the upcoming Shred Day event, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of New Braunfels City Hall.

Event Details

Residents can bring up to three (3) bank-box-sized containers of documents for shredding. All shredding will happen on-site, and recycling bins will be available for the disposal of cardboard boxes. Please bring your state-issued ID and a current utility bill. Vehicles should enter the City Hall parking lot from Laurel Lane and exit onto Walnut Avenue.

Please Note

Batteries or electronics of any kind will NOT be accepted. This includes battery-operated devices, rechargeable batteries, or batteries of any kind. Please carefully check all materials before bringing them to ensure they do not contain batteries or electronics.

• Binders & binder clips
• Hard drives, CDs, or floppy disks
• Metal objects
