The City of New Braunfels offers City residents the opportunity to securely recycle their electronics, free of charge!
Requirements
Bring a current utility bill and ID to participate. This event is for City of New Braunfels residents only.
Accepted Items
- Computers
- Computer accessories (mouse, cords, etc.)
- Monitors
- Televisions
- Telephones
- Copiers/printers
- Laptops
- Cell phones
Not accepted Items
- Household appliances (refrigerators, blenders, etc.)
- Yard maintenance equipment
- Smoke detectors
- Batteries
- Light bulbs
- Christmas lights
- Any items containing Freon
- Trailers are not accepted: items must be in truck bed or inside car/trunk
Texas Recycling Laws & Information
By state law, computer manufacturers (not retailers) must take back computers (desktops and laptops), monitor, keyboard and mouse for recycling, at no charge to the consumer.
