The New Braunfels Public Library has been selected to receive the 2023 Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association. This award is issued annually to libraries that demonstrate consistent excellence and outstanding contributions to public library services in their communities, and this is the 9th year in a row that the New Braunfels Public Library has received this award. Out of the 545 public library systems in Texas, only 84 were selected to receive this award in 2023, putting the New Braunfels Public Library in the top 15% of all public libraries in the state.
“We are honored to once again receive this award from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association,” said New Braunfels Public Library Director Gretchen Pruett. “This award demonstrates the hard work of our staff, who have shown excellence in key areas like providing services to underserved and special populations, promoting cultural, topical, and educational programming, as well as providing literacy workforce development support.”
