Gruene Road from the top of the hill on Gruene Road to Ervendberg Avenue will be under construction starting Wednesday, October 1. This New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) project will take place at night only, Sunday nights through Friday mornings, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. During those times, traffic will be reduced to one lane with flaggers directing drivers.
Construction is to upgrade the wastewater system along Gruene Road. Phase 1 of this project is expected to be completed by February 1, 2026. For more details, read the entire media release on NBU's website.
