City Council elections for the District 1 seat and the District 2 seat took place on Saturday, May 7th, 2022.
In District 2, Christopher Willis secured the seat with 82% of the vote and will be sworn in at the regular City Council meeting on May 23.
In District 1, Andres Campos-Delgado received 44% of the vote, Suzie Lynn received 42% of the vote, and Jimmy Delgado received 14% of the vote. To win the seat, a candidate must get a majority of the vote, meaning 50% of the vote plus 1 vote. Because that did not happen in District 1, there will be a runoff election between Campos-Delgado and Lynn. Early voting will take place from June 6th through June 14th at the Comal County Elections Center. Runoff Election Day will be Saturday, June 18th at the Westside Community Center. After the election, a special City Council meeting will be held to canvass the results and the winner will be sworn in at the regular City Council meeting on June 27th.
