The City of New Braunfels is partnering with several local agencies to host a Memorial Day ceremony honoring those military members who lost their lives serving their country. The ceremony will be held on Monday, May 29th, 2023, beginning at 8:30am, at the New Braunfels Veterans Memorial, located at 3030 West San Antonio Street (in front of the New Braunfels Police Department Headquarters).
Mayor Rusty Brockman and other City of New Braunfels officials will join members of New Braunfels VFW Post #7110, American Legion Post #179, cadets from the New Braunfels High School and Canyon High School Junior ROTC programs, members of the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee, the New Braunfels Noon Lions Club, and the Comal Community Band in hosting this ceremony.
“The City of New Braunfels is honored to be a part of this event commemorating those who have died in service to our great country,” said New Braunfels Mayor Rusty Brockman. “I would encourage all residents to attend this ceremony or to take time out of their long holiday weekend to honor the sacrifices made by the service men and women who have died while in active duty in the United States Armed Forces.”
The ceremony will include patriotic music, a rifle salute, a wreath placement, flag lowering, and comments from various speakers and elected officials. Again, the New Braunfels Memorial Day ceremony is set for 8:30am on Monday, May 29th, 2023, at the New Braunfels Veterans Memorial, located at 3030 West San Antonio Street.
