The City of New Braunfels’ signature downtown festival, Saengerfest, returns for its 22nd year on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, from 12pm to 10pm in historic downtown New Braunfels. As in years past, residents and visitors are invited to wander throughout downtown while listening to live music, sampling wine and craft beer, shopping at a variety of storefronts and street merchants, participating in family-friendly activities, and munching on snacks from local food trucks and restaurants.
Saengerfest is a free event, featuring live music on two stages, including back-to-back headliners on the Main Stage with artists like The Tiffiny Dawn Band, The Damn Torpedos (a Tom Petty Tribute Band), The Reed Brothers, Two Tons of Steel, and Cory Morrow. There’s also a second stage featuring a variety of local acoustic singer-songwriter performances throughout the day.
“Saengerfest is an event that truly captures the heart of New Braunfels,” said Communications and Community Engagement Director Jenna Vinson. “It is a free, family-friendly celebration in our beautiful and historic downtown that brings our community together with great live music from local and regional artists, delicious food and drink, and plenty of fun for all ages. It's more than just a music festival; it’s a reflection of our city's vibrant spirit, welcoming atmosphere, and strong sense of connection.”
Veramendi, the presenting sponsor of this year’s event, invites festivalgoers to unwind in their exclusive seating area on the Plaza, located near the main stage. This relaxing and comfortable space offers the perfect spot to enjoy live performances right in the heart of the festival. Saengerfest-goers will also find food trucks, an artisan market, photo spots, and interactive displays. The Hinterhof or ‘backyard’ section of the festival returns this year as the home of the acoustic music stage, with performances by local artists like Kade Isakson, Kristin O’Neal, Julia Rose, Jeff Vaughn, Tasman Sharp, Elysha LeMaster, and Dallas Burrow. The Lil Saengers kids’ area is also back, with lots of family-friendly activities and entertainment, as well as the Kuhl Zone where attendees can sit down and cool off!
Wine tasting, craft beer, and souvenir drink glasses will be available for purchase. Proceeds from those sales benefit the New Braunfels Downtown Association and the New Braunfels Parks Foundation for downtown enhancement projects. There are also VIP tickets for sale, which includes souvenir wine glasses, tasting tickets, and access to the air-conditioned VIP Hospitality Retreat during the festival.
The streets around the Main Plaza will be closed, including San Antonio St. (between Academy Ave. and Comal Ave.) and Seguin Ave. (between Coll St. and Mill St.). Free parking and a free park-and-ride shuttle is available at New Braunfels City Hall (located at 550 Landa St.). The shuttle will be available from 11:30am to 11:30pm. Chairs, blankets, and coolers are welcome (just no glass please).
