Effective at 12pm today, June 14, 2025, access to the Comal River for recreation will resume.
As of this release, the Comal River flow is at approximately 160cfs. City staff has removed moderate amounts of debris and the clarity of the water on the Comal River is improving daily. Anyone entering the water should be cautious about debris that may not be visible under the water’s surface.
Additionally, the City of New Braunfels always encourages the use of life vests while participating in any water-related activity.
