On June 26, 2025, at approximately 4:00pm, the New Braunfels Police Department and the New Braunfels Fire Department were called to the 700 block of IH 35 North for a report of a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a child pedestrian.
Officers arrived on scene to find a 4-year-old child had been struck by a vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot and was suffering from serious injuries. The patient was provided advanced life support procedures and transported to the emergency room at Resolute Hospital in New Braunfels, where they succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased.
This incident is under investigation by the New Braunfels Police Department Traffic Unit.
