Increased river flow, water clarity issues, and hidden submerged debris due to recent heavy rains will continue to keep access to the Comal River closed for Friday, June 13, 2025. Conditions will be reevaluated on Saturday morning (June 14) to determine when recreation can resume.
Meanwhile, normal recreation on the Guadalupe River inside the city limits of New Braunfels can now resume. As always, the City of New Braunfels encourages the use of life vests when participating in any water-related activity.
It should be noted that the National Weather Service is predicting small chances for additional thunderstorms. Those ongoing weather factors will play a role in future decisions made by city officials.
