About the Project
The project, which is called Mayfair, is being developed by Southstar Communities. In 2019, the General Land Office solicited proposals for the sale and development of approximately 2,400 acres owned by the state agency. In early 2020, the City began discussions with Southstar to negotiate an agreement that would outline the roles and responsibilities of both the City and the development project, as well as how the City will review and grant approvals to new developments within the property boundaries.
