The City of New Braunfels has updated the Master Plan, Preliminary Plat, Construction Plans, Final Plat, and Recordation processes to be more timely. These updated processes comply with the recent statewide changes related to HB 3167. This means that development is easier to understand, quicker to process, and more communicative. To streamline the plat review process through an Electronic Plan Review system (ePlan review), allowing unrestricted submittals of all plats except for Residential Replats for review and approval by the City.
To start, we HIGHLY SUGGEST booking a Pre-Development meeting. In this meeting, city staff will meet with you one-on-one to hear your ideas and work to lay out a step-by-step plan. During this meeting, you will be advised of Zoning and land Use Plans and gain a general understanding of the Platting process.
