UPDATE #2: On today’s date (06-21-17), as part of the ongoing investigation into the June 17th, 2017, homicide of 17-year old Conrad Kuntz, detectives with the New Braunfels Police Department have detained an additional suspect.
A 16-year old male from New Braunfels was apprehended without incident at his residence, taken to the Guadalupe County Juvenile Detention Center, and charged with Murder. Because of the age of the suspect, his identity will not be released.
The initial juvenile (a 15-year old male from Marion) who was also charged with Murder remains in custody at the Guadalupe County Juvenile Detention Center.
The investigation by New Braunfels Police detectives continues and additional information will be released as the investigation progresses.

UPDATE #1: On Sunday, June 18th, 2017, as part of the ongoing Homicide investigation, detectives with the New Braunfels Police Department detained a 15-year old male from Marion and charged him with Murder in connection with the shooting death of 17-year old Conrad Kuntz. Because of the age of the suspect, his identity will not be released. The juvenile was detained without incident at the New Braunfels Police Department Headquarters and transported to the Guadalupe County Juvenile Detention Center. The investigation into this case is ongoing and additional arrests and/or charges may be pending.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: On Saturday, June 17th, 2017, at approximately 10:14 pm, the New Braunfels Police Department responded to the 1500 Block of Lahn Road for a report of shots fired and a possible disturbance.
Officers arrived and located a male subject who was the victim of an apparent gunshot wound. EMS attempted lifesaving measures but the male had succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as 17-year old Conrad Kuntz of New Braunfels and next of kin has been notified. The New Braunfels Police Department Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is currently investigating the case and further details will be released as the investigation continues.
