UPDATE: On June 3, 2019, at approximately 2:00pm, 21-year old Chelsea Williams-Wallace of New Braunfels was taken into custody without incident at a business address in the 100 block of East Green Valley Drive. An arrest warrant for Williams-Wallace had been signed by a judge on May 29th, 2019, charging her with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (a 2nd degree felony) for her role in the shooting that occurred on May 22nd in the 500 block of Ventura Drive. Following her arrest, Williams-Wallace was then transported to the Comal County Jail and bond was set at $100,000.
The investigation into the shooting incident continues and NBPD continues to seek tips from the public. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $4,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or grand jury indictment. ORIGINAL RELEASE: On today’s date (05-22-19), at approximately 2:10am, officers were called to the 500 block of Ventura Drive for reports of shots fired. Officers arrived and found evidence of a shooting, but a victim was not immediately located. A short time later, the victim (a 34-year old male) called 911 from his residence in the 200 block of Leisure Village in Guadalupe County. Officers and paramedics arrived to find that he had suffered a serious but not life-threatening gunshot wound to his arm and he was transported by ground EMS to the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC). The investigation into this incident is ongoing by the New Braunfels Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, and it is believed that the parties involved in this incident are known to each other. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact New Braunfels Police or Comal County Crime Stoppers.
