The City of New Braunfels has officially launched a user-friendly mobile app called New Braunfels Waste Wise. The smartphone app is powered by Routeware and provides residents with convenient access to their garbage and recycling collection schedules, push notification reminders about garbage and recycling collection days, service request capabilities, and educational information.
The mobile app, which is available for both Apple and Android smartphones, gives residents immediate access to their local waste collection information and enhances communication between residents and the Solid Waste & Recycling team by offering an easy way to report issues and receive important updates. Key features of the mobile app include:
- Personalized Collection Schedules: Easily view upcoming trash, recycling, and yard waste pickup dates based on your address.
- Notification Alerts: Schedule timely reminders and push notifications for your garbage and recycling collection days and other important updates.
- Waste Wizard: An interactive tool to identify proper methods for disposing of different household items, including what you can and cannot recycle.
“The New Braunfels Waste Wise mobile app provides an easy way for residents to get push notification reminders about their garbage and recycling collection days and puts other solid waste and recycling services in the palm of your hand,” said Assistant Public Works Director Matthew Eckmann. “This new tool gives New Braunfels residents a convenient way to manage their waste services efficiently, contributing to a cleaner community.'"
