Contractors for the City of New Braunfels will be repaving a section of Walnut Avenue from County Line Road to Klein Road. This $1.2 million project is being paid for using the additional $2 million of dedicated street maintenance funding approved in the Fiscal Year 2025 budget.
Beginning June 22nd, Lone Star Paving will have alternating lane closures during the overnight hours so that crews can mill and repave that portion of the roadway. The roadwork will begin each day at 7pm and end at 7am. Once the final paving is complete, approximately two weeks from when work begins, utility adjustments and striping will take place during the day but will have minimal disruption to traffic. The project is expected to be complete by July 30th, pending weather and other factors.
